Spiritual Care Guild of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles

Since 1901, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles has been treating the most seriously ill and injured children in Southern California and beyond.  Research shows that an important component to fighting childhood illness after medications, surgery and therapy, is a thriving Spiritual Care Program.  Thus the Spiritual Care Guild was founded in 2003 as a non-profit organization to raise funds to expand the existing programs of the Spiritual Care Department at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, as well as ensure around-the-clock spiritual care.  The Guild believes that no child or family should be without spiritual support when they need it most and therefore the goal of 24/7 Spiritual Care was born.
Today, the Spiritual Care Guild continues to support the Spiritual Care & Clinical Pastoral Education Department at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles by raising funds to directly support the salary of a chaplain who provides spiritual support for the patients, families and staff; weekly “Tea for the Soul” experiences for staff members; the Annual Candle Lighting Ceremony; and necessary supplies for chaplains to preform daily religious sacraments and ceremonies.

Join us this #GivingTuesday and support the Spiritual Care Guild of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles,
as we help continue the great works of the chaplains and all they do for the patients, families,
and staff of CHLA.  Help us reach our goal of $3,000 this
